The Donkey in carnival It is part of a series of 4 silkscreen prints. These are zoomorphic masks that refer in their miscegenation to totemic elements from western Africa, linked to ancient hunting and harvest rituals; These traditions and symbolic expressions accompanied the slaves implanted by Spain in America in the 16th century.
The masks are today an instrument of entertainment and playful expression for dances, comparsas and costumes that participate in the annual party of the largest Carnival in Colombia.
